It's Raining Fashion

I love rainy weather for a few reasons:
1: GREAT excuse to wear heels: "They lift me above all the puddles!" (see the above  rain boots... with heels !!)
2: Bright Raincoats + Pattern Tights = :)
(I love yellow jackets! They totally stand out against all the other black coats and gray skies, which is always a plus. I would wear this with a colorful patterned dress, bright tights, and some cute ballet flats!)

3: FUN ACCESSORIES !! Scarfs, mittens, beanies, you name it: drizzly weather brings out the inner warm accessories enthusiast in all of us !!

Rainy weather is when I love to bring out the quirky winter gear... Yes !!!!

Cute New Finds from Forever 21 !

I went scavenging around Forever 21 and found the above... All are super cute accessories that make a statement yet can be worn again and again and with any outfit... I plan on wearing this headband with super long, wispy-straight hair, or up with a cute french twist. That necklace can be worn with, let's face it, anything and everything !! And my favorite, perhaps, is this super cute belt that can be worn with a romper, dress, high-waisted skirt... the list goes on !! (And maybe I'll get one in each color?!)

Pearlescent Headwrap (in gold/cream) ~ $6.80
Chain-Link Mesh Necklace (in gold) ~ $7.80
Suedette Belt w/ Tassel (in mint; also comes in pink, oatmeal, and tan) ~ $4.80

What's your favorite??

"California Dreaming" from Love Culture

Check out just a few of Love Culture's collection of 60's & 70's inspired outfits...

"California Dreaming"
I LOVE the ads for this...
This just has that comfy-casual vibe...And those pants are a cute way to make your legs look miles long...no chunky legs here!!
LOVE the how the blue jeans contrast with the leopard booties!!
I always love flow-y shirts. And I know some people REFUSE to wear red & yellow together, for fear of looking like Ronald McDonald, but the black skinnies & chunky heels are more like fashion-forward boho.
Flapper + high/low = Vintage-y & adorable!! I can see this dress with some BCC booties !!
About the whole collection...It makes me think of a music festival, and goes perfectly with the new Butter London collection, which is just icing on this super stylish cupcake:))
I've been pretty disappointed in Love Culture recently, seeing as their winter stuff was kind of nasty. It seems as though they're getting super close to redeeming themselves...
I don't know bout you, but I'm hoping I'll find some cute steals next time I go malling !!

Butter London Spring/Summer 2012

"What a season! Created backstage at Fashion week, the Spring/ Summer 2012 Collection features pops of neon colour, tempered by sherbet pastels, and cool neutrals, as seen on the catwalks. Founding Creative Director Nonie Creme mixed a couple of softer, opaque shades in cantaloupe and pale pistachio, and followed up with an intense retro turquoise and slightly glittery hot pink. Finally, a quietly marvelous sheer oyster that packs a tiny punch with micro glitter particles for those seeking a new way to wear neutral. The message this season is KNOW who you are, then BE who you are! The beauty world is yours to rule."
~ Butter London (Butter London News!!)

It's no secret that we all (at DTD, and hopefully, you too) love Butter London. So it's no surprise that I LOVE these colors. They are gonna help me transition perfectly into spring and summer. I can just picture it now: I'll go dancing in Disco Biscuit, go malling in Bossy Boots, and spend plenty of time in the pool in Trout Pout. Street Style

Photos from Pinterest

Hey everyone, I thought I would share these amazing street style pictures! The top one is my favorite, it's so simple but still extremely stylish. The middle photo I adore because it's a classy outfit idea taken to the next level. The leopard belt is adorable! And finally, the bottom photo. To start off with, I love the dress with the chunky infinity scarf. The patterned tights and ankle booties look amazing together. I love all these street style photos, they are great for inspiration!

Welcome, Everyone!

Hey everyone,
Well, we finally caved and made another blog, and don't forget to like us on Facebook to enter our ongoing contest! (and follow on Polyvore, we are always posting new outfits!)  Anyway, as our first post here are some favorite trends for Spring 2012:

  • Bright colors! -- They are so much fun to color block and play with, We adore this trend for Spring and can't wait to try it out!
  • Fun Heels! -- Oh my, we LOVE our booties in the Winter, but with these fab heels that are coming up, we just can't get enough of them!!
  • Patterns! -- So we all know that solid black and white are a classic but that can get boring! (at least for us anyway) so we are super thrilled to see tons on patterns on the runways!

Now to wrap up this post we just want to thank all our Polyvore friends for the support, where would we be without you!!

xoxo~
